A kitchen fire cost a Crull Road family their home and claimed the lives of their pets.
The 9-1-1 call came in just after 2 pm, and firefighters from multiple districts responded to the scene to assist, though it did take a few calls to get enough manpower to the scene.
The family lost their home, all of their belongings, and several pets in the fire. The Minford Fire Department requested aid from the Red Cross, and the fire was under control within two hours.
