EMS and deputies responded to the Scioto County Jail after an inmate overdosed just before 3 am.
Workers at the jail administered three doses of Narcan to revive the victim. EMS transported the victim to the hospital, and a deputy followed.
The officers waited at the hospital until the inmate was cleared and returned him to the Scioto County Jail around 5:30 am.
Overdose on Woodland Avenue
Deputies and medics responded to a Woodland Avenue home after a report of an overdose. People on the scene administered three doses of Narcan, but the victim was still unresponsive.
By the time officers and medics arrived on the scene, the victim was awake and refused any further medical attention.
Passed Out on 7th Street
Just before 8 am, a 7th Street caller reported a person in a black hoodie passed out in a yard.
Officers took Lucas Waddell into custody for drug possession and booked him into the Scioto County Jail for drug possession. This was Waddell’s 17th arrest. Previous charges include driving under a suspension, probation violation, theft, passing bad checks, DUI, fugitive from justice, and failing to wear a seatbelt.
At 8:30 am, officers were called to PMHA’s Hisle Park Apartments, which is a transitional facility for kids who have aged out of foster care, for a report that a monitor had found a crystal substance in the window in the lobby. An officer impounded the substance for disposal.
Officers and medics responded to a report of a drug overdose on Kinneys Lane around 9:30 pm. However, the patient was uncooperative with medics and refused medical attention.
