James Paul Kozee, 61 of Otway

James Paul Kozee, 61, of Otway, passed away at his residence on Monday, September 1, 2025.  He was born on August 1, 1964 in Portsmouth to the late Robert Kozee and Anna Marie Collins Kozee Ray.  Surviving are his siblings: Paula Haynesworth of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Roberta Ray of Versailles, Indiana, and Donald Kozee of Newark; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great nephews; step siblings, Willard Ray of Michigan and LInda Wilding of Michigan and countless friends.  In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his siblings; Robert Earl Kozee, John David Kozee, Kenneth Ray Kozee, Darvin Layne Kozee, William Lee Kozee, Anthony Lee Kozee and Helen Yvonne Meade and step brother, Gary Ray
Paul was a member of the Otway Historical Society, where he helped to beautify the community he loved. He was an active member in the restoration of the Otway Covered Bridge.  He was a talented Painter and was highly involved in his community helping others.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Pastor Danny Powell officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.  until the time of the service.  The family requests in leiu of flowers that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
