Jason Allen Veach 43 of Port Orange, FL passed away October 8, 2023 unexpectedly. He was born January 31, 1980 in Lancaster, Ohio to Rex Veach and Sandra Poole.
Jason grew up in Portsmouth, Ohio and graduated from Valley High School in 1998. He was a foreman employed by Utility Line Construction Services in Daytona, Florida. He was a valued employee. He was loved & respected by his fellow co-workers.
Jason is survived by his wife, Kara Bailey Veach; one son, Dawson Veach of St. Mary’s GA; step-sons, Lextyn and Tristyn Bailey; Emory McGee of Port Orange, FL; his parents, Rex (Janet) Veach of Hebron, IN and Sandra (Joseph) Poole of Portsmouth; a sister, Angela (Tyler) Uhrig of Piketon; a brother, Cody Mougey of Portsmouth; step-sisters, Michelle (Greg) Napiwocki of Rolling Praire, IN, Heather Naasko (Matt Penrose) of Hebron, IN; niece, Alexandria Southworth of Buffalo, TX; nephew, Aaron Southworth of Piketon; grandmother, Verna Patterson of Beaver, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jason was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Ryan Veach; nephew, Caleb Southworth; grandparents, Nelson & Opal Veach and grandfather, Shady Lands.
Jason was a life-long Ohio State football fan. He loved riding motorcycles and spending time with his family at the beach. To know Jason was to love him. He will be greatly missed by his family & friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 at Stockdale UCC with Eddie Johnson officiating. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
