Judy Murta, 78, of Sciotoville, died Sunday, February 14, 2021, at the SOMC Hospice Center with her family at her bedside. Born on February 1, 1943, in Cincinnati, she was a daughter of the late Ancel Earl and Eileen Hamilton Harris.
Judy earned a G.E.D. and went forward to become a nurse’s aide serving at Mercy Hospital, Southern Ohio Medical Center and most recently for SOMC Hospice.
Also preceding her in death was a brother, Jack Harris.
Surviving are her husband that she married in 1960, Russell Murta, two sons, Scott (Kris) Murta of Powell and Steven Murta of Sciotoville; a sister, Joyce Yates of Grove City; six grandchildren, Michael, Matthew (Lindsey), Paige, Shayne, Jennifer, and Julia; a great-granddaughter, Kattara and a nephew whom she raised, Jamey Lundy of Rosemount.
A service will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Worley’s Run Cemetery.
