A K9 officer helped track down a man wanted in connection with a violent domestic incident.
Officers responded to a report of a heated domestic incident just before 2 am and found a distraught woman with red marks on her neck and a bloody mouth. She said her husband came into the house while she was asleep and woke her up while attempting to break the heaters in the room.
He then hit her in the head with a heater and began to choke her. She managed to break away and call the police and he fled the home on foot.
Lawrence County Deputies deployed a K9 officer to search for him and officers found the man hiding in a truck at his brother-in-law’s home. They arrested him for domestic violence and strangulation.
