Karen Sue Slack, 57, of Portsmouth passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at her home. She was born August 1, 1966, to the late Perry Ray and Francis Jane (Neal) Munnion in Portsmouth. Karen is a 1984 graduate of Portsmouth East High School. She loves boating, camping, and taking vacations with her family. She especially loves spending time outdoors with her grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her husband of 39 years, Scott Slack of Portsmouth; two daughters, Vanessa Slack and husband Shane Thomas of Portsmouth, Kristin Slack of New Boston; a brother, Dwayne “Bub” Woodrow and wife Stephanie of Franklin Furnace; seven grandchildren, Tiana, Tanya, Alanna, Maddilynn, Danelle, Bradlee, and Shane. Karen was also preceded in death by a daughter, Krysten Slack; a brother, Perry Ray Woodrow; a sister Barbara Pierce; a nephew, Joseph Pierce, and a niece, Samantha Pierce.
Arrangements are pending at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston.
