Leslie Monroe, 55, of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at his home. He was born April 22, 1968 to the late Leslie Monroe and Patricia (Riley) Hilterbrand in Portsmouth. Leslie loved spending time in the outdoors and participating in such activities as fishing, hunting, hunting for mushrooms, ginseng and shed antlers. Leslie was also an avid University of Kentucky fan.
Leslie is survived by his mother, Patricia Hilterbrand of Portsmouth; a son, Derek Monroe and wife Meagan of Paintsville, Ky; two daughters, Tierra Monroe of Lexington, Ky, and Cierra Monroe of Fayetteville, WV; two sisters, Tammy Monroe Morris of Catlettsburg, Ky; and Teresa Rister of Morehead, Ky; and one grandchild.
There will be a gathering of friends and family at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston from 12:00p.m. (Noon) until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023 with cremation to follow.
