Linden Duke Woodworth, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025 in Searcy, Arkansas.
Duke was born on March 29, 1957, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Harry and Vivian Woodworth. He spent most of his life in Minford, Ohio, near his maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Since 2012, he resided with his mother at Harding Place Independent Living Center in Searcy, Arkansas, where he lived close to his sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Ken Bissell.
Throughout his life, Duke faced significant physical and mental challenges, yet these never diminished his spirit. While living with cerebral palsy, he maintained a meaningful level of independence that allowed him to build relationships and positively impact those around him. All who met Duke were quickly drawn to his resilience, determination, and warm presence.
Duke was a lifelong member of Sunshine Church of Christ in Minford. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Woodworth; his maternal grandparents, Lyle and Mildred Bonzo; and his paternal grandparents, Carl and Nona Woodworth.
He is survived by his mother, Vivian Woodworth of Searcy; his sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Ken Bissell of Searcy; his niece, Olivia (Thomas) Stafford of Memphis; his nephews, Aaron (Rachael) Bissell of Memphis and Zachary (Sara) Bissell of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; his aunt, Serena Miller of Minford, along with a host of cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many friends.
The family is eternally grateful for the care and love provided to Duke by the Harding Place staff and caregivers these past 13 years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Harding Place Christian Ministries, 801 South Benton, Searcy, Arkansas 72149.
A private graveside service will be held at Batterson Cemetery in Minford in the coming days.
