A Rarden neighbor contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office after a little girl showed up on her porch and didn’t want to leave. She didn’t know the child’s parents but said this wasn’t the first time she’d called officers about the wandering tot.
Dispatch noted officers had responded to the scene before and that officers had contacted CPS. A deputy picked up the child and took her home. While they were there, the child’s grandmother had a medical emergency, and an officer called for an ambulance.
The deputy spoke to CPS and said that the child seemed safe, but despite multiple locks on the doors, she kept getting out of the house.
