Lon “Steve” Porter, age 75, passed away on December 25, 2025, in Portsmouth, Ohio. Born on February 19, 1950, in Portsmouth, William Franklin and Paula Nadine (Nee Boling) Porter.
Steve graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1969 and dedicated his life to the trade he cherished. As a proud member of the Electricians Union in Columbus, he went on to establish Porter Electric, serving Scioto County for over thirty years. Known for his skill and dedication, Steve was a reliable figure in the community, always ready to lend a hand when someone needed electrical work done.
Beyond his work, Steve had a zest for life that shone brightly in everything he did. He enjoyed spending weekends boating and was an avid bowler. He spent countless hours working tirelessly to provide for his family, yet always made time for the activities he loved the most.
Steve will be deeply missed by his brother and sister in laws: Jeffrey and Gretchen Porter of West Portsmouth and Greg and Linda Porter of Amelia, as well as one sister Linda Porter of East Lansing, MI; one son Steven Porter of Alaska and several friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, one brother William Richard Porter, and his beloved children, Sean and Tara Porter.
