We told you last week about money missing from the safe at Long John Silver’s. Well, the responsible party decided to turn himself in. Officers say he walked into the lobby at the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office and confessed to stealing money from the restaurant.
Portsmouth Police officers confirmed that $537 was missing from the safe of the restaurant with the general manager.
Officers took statements and then gave the man a ride home.
The next morning, police received another call involving the restaurant. A worker said that when she arrived to open the building, she found the drive-through window open and wanted officers to make sure no one was in the building.
Police checked the restaurant but didn’t find anyone inside.
