An officer checked out the area surrounding the home in the 5300 block of Gallia on foot and reported no suspicious human activity but noted, “rodents everywhere!”
Homeless Woman Rewarded After Picking Up Missing Phone
A troubled woman, who frequently has contact with police due to erratic behavior had a stroke of good luck.
It started just after 7 pm when a caller whose phone went missing from OSCO, pinged the location of the phone and found two males sitting in front of the post office where the phone was located.
Police found two individuals with open warrants. The phone was discovered on the person of a troubled homeless woman who was sleeping inside the Post Office.
She told police she found it in the OSCO parking lot, where an officer observed her earlier in the day. The owner of the phone decided to reward her because she was honest about the phone and handed it right back over.
Both of the homeless fugitives agreed to leave their buggies where someone could come to get their possessions and were served with warrants for parole and probation violations. Officers took them to the Scioto County Jail.
Unwanted Touching

Police took information for a report.
Under the Influence
Just before 1 am, a 9th Street caller reported someone attempting to push in his door.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a highly intoxicated man. His sober friend was attempting to get him into a vehicle to take him home.
Police assisted her in getting him in the car so she could take him home. The residents did not want to press charges, they just wanted him gone.
