An overnight call to a domestic incident at the 16th Street Apartments led to a string of charges for a 33-year-old Portsmouth man.
At 2:43 a.m., a caller reported a man and woman fighting and that the woman was screaming for help. When officers arrived on the scene, the man put up a fight when police tried to take him into custody.
Medics checked out the woman, and she refused further treatment from the Portsmouth Fire Department.
Police charged Anthony Williams with aggravated burglary, domestic violence, obstructing official business, endangering children, and a parole violation and booked him into the Scioto County Jail.
