Officers investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle at Gallia and Armstrong Place caught up with a guy with a long arrest history and an open warrant.
Officers from New Boston arrived to serve a warrant, and police impounded several items from the vehicle before releasing the car to its owner.

Police booked Jeffrey R. Carver into the Scioto County Jail for the 18th time on charges of receiving stolen property and drug possession.
His previous arrests include disorderly conduct, escape, multiple counts of probation violation, aggravated trafficking, failure to appear, drug abuse, drug possession, and petty theft.
