Deputies responding to a report of a burglar alarm at the Dollar General in Lucasville at 2 am, found a man inside the store. He gave police a name, but didn’t have any ID on him to prove his identity.
Officers agreed to allow the man to speak to his wife and explain the situation. He repaid them by running off. However, it didn’t take deputies long to cuff him and put him in the back of a cruiser.
Deputies contacted the district manager to let him know the side door was open and that a suspect was in custody.
They booked Mark Devore into the Scioto County Jail on charges of breaking and entering, resisting arrest, falsification, obstructing justice, possessing criminal tools, and assault.
Devore was convicted of breaking and entering back in 2019
