A man arrested for assault had no problem letting the deputies who arrested him know he planned to come back and finish the job.
Deputies responded to a report of an assault on Township Road 1043 around 11 am. The woman told police she was using her phone when the man with her told her to shut up. When she said she would not, he smacked her in the mouth.
Officers said the man admitted he told her to shut up but claimed he never struck her because he would not hit a woman.

When offices took him into custody, he said, “When I get out of jail or post bond, I’m going to come back here and murder that bitch.”
Deputies booked him into the Lawrence County Jail on assault charges.
