A troubled man who is having more and more frequent contact with police caused a disturbance at Southern Ohio Medical Center just after 8:30 a.m.
He’d already had issues with police the day before after a caller spotted a man lying beside the dumpster at Bob Evans on Gay Street. When officers arrived, they discovered a man they’d arrested for disorderly conduct just a day before. He agreed to leave the property.
However, by the next morning, he was causing a commotion at the hospital by attempting to take a wheelchair. Security said he had refused to leave the building.
He’d been previously trespassed but returned to the property to get medical records. However, the hospital would not give them to him without a photo ID. He became irate and refused to leave.
Police caught up with him near Hillview and warned him to stay away from that property and the hospital.
