Marjorie Potter, 77, of South Shore, KY, passed away, Feb. 1, 2021, in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in Greenup County, Kentucky, on June 29, 1943, a daughter of the late Sherman Abdon and Elizabeth Craft Abdon.
Preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Potter, three brothers, Cebert, John, and Charles Abdon, five sisters, Jessie Tussey, Bessie Meadows, Monnie Hackworth, Inez Buckler, and Zelma Craft.
Surviving are three daughters, Debbie (Robbie) Morris of South Shore, KY, Linda (Mark) Patton of Paducah, KY, and Brenda Hamilton of South Shore, KY, four grandchildren, Benjamin Hamilton, Kayla Dudley, Matthew Morris, and Kara Patton, four great-grandchildren, Dallas Hamilton, Elissa Hamilton, Adaliee Dudley and Landon Bryson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, 2021, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY with Rev. Kenneth W. Potter, officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery, Greenup, KY. Friends may call from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 on Friday. Due to Covid restrictions mask and social distancing are required.
