Mary C. Hall, 73, of Piketon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, at SOMC Hospice. She was born on September 10, 1951, to the late Joseph and Gladys (Baker) Osborne. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Osborne, David Osborne, and Jerry Osborne; and a sister, Cecilia Baker.
Mary graduated from Jackson High School and soon after embraced motherhood, which became the heart of her life. In 1993, she began her longtime career as a cook for the Pike County Senior Nutrition Center, where she proudly worked until her passing—being considered a “lifer” by those who knew and loved her there. Her dedication to serving others was evident in every meal she prepared and every smile she shared.
Mary found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time with her family, watching her favorite game shows, getting lost in a good book, and discovering her love for the beach during a cherished family trip to the Outer Banks. Her warmth, loyalty, and sense of humor made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving children: Don Channell of Tecumseh, Michigan, and Barbara Hall, Bobby Hall, and Alan Hall, all of Piketon, Ohio; eight grandchildren; her very best friend, Vicky Coy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends she made throughout her life and career.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Services are in the care of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
