Mary Jane McNeil Martin, 90 of West Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at SOMC Hospice. She was born December 5, 1935 in West Portsmouth to the late Joseph Kitchen and Pearlia Ann Mershon McNeil.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death her husbands; Marvin Paul Rice and Edward Roy, a son, Marvin Gregory Rice, 5 brothers; Joe McNeil, James Edward McNeil, Virgil, Viral and Eugene Mault, 4 sisters; her twin, Marie Bowling, Sylvia Thicken, Rosetta Welch and Lima Mault, along with a great, great grandchild, Kynleigh Gifford.
Mary graduated from Washington High School in 1953. She was a homemaker and a Nurses Aid at Rendezvous Nursing Home for many years.
Mary is survived by a son, Joseph Roy, 3 daughters; Debbie Pendleton, Connie Gifford and Julia Stapleton, 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott with Greg Cooper officiating. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery starting at 10:30 AM.
