A McDermott mother turned to 911 for help after her 32-year-old son allegedly damaged multiple items inside her home, something she told dispatchers wasn’t the first time it had happened.
Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies responded and took Kody Rogers into custody, not just for the disturbance but also on an open warrant for probation violation.
A History of Trouble
Court records show Rogers was convicted in 2023 of driving with a suspended license. He was sentenced to probation and 31 days in jail, with 30 of those days suspended. A warrant for his arrest was issued in June 2024 after he failed to comply with probation terms.
Rogers has a record of prior arrests, including:
- Driving under suspension
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Drug abuse
- OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired)
- Criminal trespass
Calls like this are among the most difficult, when family members reach the breaking point and turn to law enforcement for help. By taking Rogers into custody, officers ensured his outstanding warrant was addressed and his mother got some relief from repeated disturbances.
