Melba Loretta Craft-Comer 86 of Wheelersburg, Ohio passed away at SOMC Hospice on April 27th, 2022 in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Born on February 18, 1936, Melba was the daughter of the late George D. Williams and Esther Howard Williams.
Melba worked as a nurse for SOMC for many years. Melba was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Melba was blessed with a large and loving family. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her life and provided her great peace. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Clifford Craft and William “Bill” Comer, one daughter Susan Kaye Craft-Stringer and son Henry “Hank” Clay Craft. Three brothers, Ronald Williams, Donald Williams and sister Delores Truitt. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson Nicholous Thomas.
Melba is survived by her two daughters Rebecca Ann Will (Scott) of Wheelersburg, Kimberly Faye Craft of Portsmouth and special son-in-law James “Jim” Stringer of Wheelersburg and daughter-in-law Deby Craft.
Grandchildren Michael Craft, Joshua Craft, Ashley Stringer-Glascock, Brandon Stringer, Christina Hammons, Melissa Justice, Tiffani Reynolds, Brooke Evans and Elisha Pemberton.
Great-Grandchildren Bryna Licerio, Sophia Craft, Andrew Meadows, Erica McGahan, Samantha Boggs, Jaustin Justice, Hayley Glascock, Breana Glascock, Wyatt Pemberton, Jax Pemberton,
Braxton Evans, Bryce Evans and Brynlee Evans.
Great-Great Grandchildren Kolton Ferguson, Chloe Boggs, Thea Boggs, Jordan Boggs, Benton McGahan and Ryleigh-Anne McGlone.
Brothers and Sisters Candi Bailey, Larry Paul Williams, Carol Russell, Janie Sellars, Norman Williams, Juanita Pope, Donna Powell, Melvin Williams and Bernita Hoffman, Larry Dean Williams.
And numerous nieces and nephews which brought her great joy.
Melba would like to thank all of her neighbors and friends whom she loved dearly.
The family would like to thank the SOMC Hospice Center for all their kindness and support.
Funeral services will be held at D.W. Swick Funeral Home Wolfe-Nelson Chapel in Sciotoville, Ohio, Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 1:00pm with visitation from 11:00am-1:00pm.
