Melee in Speedway Parking Lot
Officers were called to the Speedway on Gallia for the 5th time in 24 hours after a report of a large fight breaking out in the parking lot.
When police arrived on the scene, witnesses said all of the combatants had left the scene. No one was sure in what direction they were going.
Wack-a-Doodle at Speedway
Officers dealt with multiple issues at the Speedway on Gallia over the weekend.
Just before 4 am on Sunday, police responded to a report of a man in an orange hoodie acting up on the lot. Employees asked police to bar him from the building, and they served him with a no-trespass order.
At 11 pm that evening, employees asked officers to bar another man from the premises. They served the order.
At 3 am on Monday morning, police responded to some issues involving kids at the store. They spoke with CPS, and the Sheriff’s Office sent deputies to pick up the kids.
At 4:37 am, Speedway employees reported a man “nodding out” in the store. By the time officers arrived on the scene, the man had left the store.
More Wack-a-Doodle Behavior
Just after 1:30 pm, a Speedway employee contacted PPD to report that an already intoxicated man had helped himself to more booze from the store.
The employee said a bald man stole some Steel Reserve Blackberry Malt Beverage and took off north on Kendall Avenue.
An officer searched the area but could not locate the man.
Four hours later, employees reported an apparently high man in the store. Officers spoke to the man, and he agreed to leave.
Five minutes after that, police received another call of an apparently intoxicated man at the store. Police trespassed that man from the store.
At 11:35 pm., Employees reported that a man with face tattoos who’d stolen from the store earlier in the day had returned. Police were unable to locate him.
