A mom took her kids along on a shoplifting spree at Walmart. Officers were called to the store after the store’s loss prevention team caught two women stuffing items into a diaper bag.
The pair headed to the self-checkout, where they paid for three items but walked out with the rest of the stuff. Security stopped them and took them to the office.
One of the women had six children with her. Officers learned that the pair actually had enough money on them to pay for the stolen items, but one woman said she was saving the money for a downpayment on a car.
Deputies also learned the woman had previously trespassed from other Walmart stores for stealing. They arranged for a relative of one of the women to come to collect her car and her children.
Police arrested the women for theft and criminal trespass.
