Officers responded to multiple incidents at area motels. Just before 1 am, the clerk at the Wheelersburg Quality Inn reported a drunken man and woman had been fighting for over an hour in the parking lot.
The pair were going door-to-door and talking to themselves. When officers arrived at the hotel, the man had already left. They said the woman appeared to have taken something, and they called for an ambulance. After an ambulance checked out the woman, her mother drove over from Kentucky to pick her up.
Officers were called to the Rosemount Super 8 to do a welfare check on a woman after a concerned family member told officers they believed she had been abused. They said the woman was with a man, and she was afraid to leave and had left her children with her. The relative said the man was known to carry a gun.
