Bizarre Outbursts Lead to Disorderly Conduct Arrest for Troubled Woman

A woman with a history of erratic behavior was arrested for disorderly conduct on Sunday afternoon, following a series of disturbing outbursts that spanned two days.

On Friday, officers responded to a report of a woman acting “crazy” in front of Portsmouth Ambulance on Gallia Street. Police, who are familiar with the woman, recognized the bizarre behavior as typical for her, and after a brief encounter, allowed her to go on her way.

However, just two days later, on Sunday afternoon, police were once again called to Mound Street at 1:40 p.m. after reports of a woman yelling and screaming as she walked down the street. A few minutes later, another caller reported the woman had stripped naked, sitting on the top step of a residence and talking to herself.

When officers arrived, they attempted to speak with the woman, but she continued to refuse to comply and exposed herself as she ran down Grant Street. Police arrested her for disorderly conduct and booked her into the Scioto County Jail.

This wasn’t the first time officers have dealt with this woman’s erratic behavior. Earlier this year, she had been arrested multiple times for assault, criminal trespass, domestic violence, drug abuse, felonious assault, and even resisting arrest.
