Nancy Carolyn Diles, 89, of Lucasville, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth. She was born on December 23, 1934, in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Frank Harmon and Nancy Kathleen Duncan Coe.
Nancy retired after 24 years with UPS, where she worked as a shipping clerk. Following retirement, she worked as a direct service provider for Scioto Residential Services. She enjoyed retirement by spending precious time with her daughter’s family and attending ball games and dance classes with her great-grandchildren. Nancy had also enjoyed coaching softball and being a Girl Scout leader when her daughter was young.
Surviving is her daughter and best friend, Dana T. (Elmer) Gregory of Lucasville; grandson, P.J. (Sheena) Gregory of McDermott; four great-grandchildren, Brycen Andrew, Brooklyn Paige, Brinley Kate and Braylee Michelle Gregory; three siblings, Michael Coe of Lockbourne, Paul (Nancy) Coe of Jacksonville, SC, and Mary (Gary) Meyers of Smithville, VA; several nieces, nephews and their families; and her granddog, Enzo Asher.
Nancy was preceded in death on February 4, 2013, by her husband, Travis Dean Diles. The couple was married on July 6, 1957, in Portsmouth. She was also preceded in death by two children, Bryan Diles and Kelly Diles; and three siblings and their spouses, Joe (Judy) Coe, Rusty (Wanda) Coe, and Lilly Allen.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Dr. Greg Hudson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the service hour.
