Naomi Ruth Hammond, 81, of South Webster passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022. She was born March 12, 1941, in South Webster, a daughter of the late Samuel Stidham and Ruth (Lancaster) Stidham Moody.
She was a graduate of Paramount Beauty College, worked for many years as a hairdresser, and enjoyed making and selling wood crafts, quilting, sewing, collecting salt and pepper shakers, and loved birds.
Naomi is survived by her husband of 65 years, Paul Hammond who she married on December 19, 1956; a son David Hammond and wife Martha of Wellston; two brothers, Thomas Stidham of Modesto, CA, and Jim Stidham of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Delores Deel of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Sara (Josh) Moon, Amanda (Kris) Coughenour, Rusty Sowards, Aaron Sowards, Mary Jo (Roger) Toland and Mikki Cooper; several great-grandchildren including Brenton and Emma Moon, Madeline and Sophie Coughenour and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, James Hammond; a brother, Sam Franklin Stidham; sisters, Sheryl Blanco, Florence McGinnis, and Lou Ella Moody.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 16, 2022, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with interment to follow at Scioto Furnace Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 2 pm Friday at the funeral home.
