Norma Claire Stout, 88, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 28, 2022, at SOMC. She was born June 8, 1934, in Friendship, to the late Oscar and Fern Nease Martin.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Rick Boggs, her first husband and father to her children, Ronall Boggs, her husband, David Maynard Stout, and 2 sisters, Betty Jo Hackworth and Julia McGraw.
Norma was a 1952 graduate of Washington High School, worked for Marting’s and attended Turkey Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Tim Boggs, and Bill Boggs; a sister, Mary Lou Fillmore; 4 grandsons, Nicholas, Lennon, Andy, Garren Boggs, 3 great-grandchildren a special niece Nancy McGraw, and several other very special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Don McGraw officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 1:00 PM on Thursday.
