Officers responded to First Presbyterian Church around 4:30 am after an alarm went off. Though most burglar alarms turn out to be false alarms, this time, officers discovered someone had removed a pane from a window of the First Presbyterian Church on Court Street.
Officers checked the first floor but didn’t find anything suspicious inside. However, they found two bags outside the window containing paperwork with a suspect’s name on it. Church officials said he had attended the church in the past, but had recently caused problems and been removed from the property.
