Officers Investigate Screams In CVS Bathroom
Employees of the CVS on 11th Street contacted PPD at 4:30 pm to report someone was screaming so loudly in the bathroom that it sounded like there was an exorcism happening. They weren’t sure if they needed a cop or a priest. PPD decided to send an officer.
When officers arrived on the scene, they took a man with an open warrant from Darke County into custody.

Shoplifter Hits Speedway
Employees at Speedway on Gallia contacted officers at 2 pm to report that a man who had previously been barred from the property just came in and stole several items. The man left on foot in the direction of Little Caesars. Officers took information for a report.
Suspicious Activity at the Royal Inn
We see a lot of police reports mentioning the Royal Inn on Kendall Avenue, so it’s probably no surprise that a caller contacted Portsmouth Police at 6 am to report some suspicious activity in one of the rooms.
The witness said there had been a heavy amount of traffic in and out of a particular room and multiple vehicles with Columbus license plates were in the parking lot.
Officers responded to the room in question and knocked on the door. No one answered, and officers couldn’t hear anyone inside.
