Just before 1 pm, officers responded to a report that a woman was planning to jump off the Grant Bridge.
Her son called the police to report his mother had held a gun to her head earlier and threatened suicide. After her boyfriend disarmed her, the woman headed to the bridge and said she planned to jump.
Police caught up with her near the bridge and called for medics. The woman agreed to allow EMS to transport her to the hospital.
