Orville Joe Adams-DeLisle, age 60, passed away peacefully at his home on January 12, 2026.
Joe was born on April 6, 1965, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to William Warren Adams and Naomi “Tudy” Adams who preceded him in death.
Joe married the love of his life, David Adams-DeLisle, on January 12, 2015. Though married for a short time, they shared 33 wonderful years together, filled with love, happiness, and unwavering devotion.
Joe is survived by his husband, David; his brothers, Walter (Joyce) Adams, Michael (Stephanie) Adams, and William Adams Jr.; and his sister, Lana (Donnie) Locke.
Joe entered the retail field right out of high school and spent his career in management, where he was known as a dedicated leader who expected everyone that worked with him to care as much as he did.
Joe loved all things Christmas and found great joy in decorating his home for the holiday. From a young age, he transformed the house and yard each Christmas season, creating warmth, beauty, and happiness for everyone around him. Christmas will never be the same without him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home with Paul Girdley officiating. Burial will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Joe will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
