An overdose victim put up quite a fight with the first responders who saved her life.
EMS and deputies responded to a home on St. Rt. 218 for a report of an overdose just before 10 pm.
When deputies arrived, they saw the woman, who had been revived with Narcan, kicking, punching, and fighting first responders.
Medics ended up administering Narcan twice but noted the woman kept fighting with EMTs and refused to go to the hospital.
Deputies were forced to taser the woman to get her under control so they could arrest her. Officers transported her to the Lawrence County Jail for assaulting an EMT.
