Pamela D. Martin, age 72, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026. Born in Portsmouth to Thurman and Velma (née Large-Seagraves) Martin, Pamela lived a life dedicated to her family and community. She worked as a cook at Bob Evans and Frisch’s for most of her career, where she found great joy and pride in her work. Pamela was a member of the Portsmouth Eagles and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed simple pleasures, including time with friends and family, NASCAR, and playing cards.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronnie Martin, and step-mother, Liz Martin.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Johnna (Brian) Jones of Wheelersburg, her grandchildren: Shyann (Dylan) Mullins of Portsmouth, Elizabeth VanBibber of West Portsmouth, Nathan (Emma) Jones of Wheelersburg, and Nic (Mikaela) Jones of Franklin Furnace; as well as her eight beloved great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Karen Horsely of New Boston.
Services for Pamela will be held on Tuesday the 13th of January, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, at F. C. Daehler Mortuary. Darrell Buck Musick will be officiating.
