He had just six months to walk the straight and narrow… but instead, Christian Scarberry chose to run — right into a taser! ⚡
Just before 11 p.m., officers say Scarberry took off from New Boston Police during a traffic stop on Milldale, launching a wild chase that weaved through Bosner, Highland Bend, and Liberty Street. The high-stakes pursuit came to a dramatic end when Scarberry ditched the car and made a break for it on foot.
🚨 Bad idea. Police caught up quickly and dropped him with a taser before slapping on the cuffs.
Scarberry had reportedly fled from a halfway house and was already listed by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction as a “Dangerous and Possibly Armed” parole violator. He’d been sentenced to prison on drug charges by Judge Howard Harcha back in July, but was released in February to complete just six months of supervised release.
Instead of finishing out his time quietly, Scarberry now faces new charges:
🔹 Failure to Comply
🔹 Resisting Arrest
🔹 Obstructing Official Business
🧠 Let this be a lesson:
Running from the law rarely ends well — especially when you’re already almost free. A few more months of keeping clean could’ve meant a fresh start. Now? It’s back behind bars, and probably for a lot longer.
Moral of the story? Don’t run. Don’t resist. And for the love of freedom, just finish your parole.
