The investigation into a dumpster fire at a business on St. Rt. 52 led to the arrest of a wanted parolee.
Just before 9 a.m., the business owner contacted officers to say he’d looked over security footage related to a dumpster fire at the business the previous night and noticed that someone breaking into a truck in the parking lot as well.
Officers began looking around for the suspect and spotted a man matching the description walking down the street. Other officers and the fire marshal responded to the scene. Deputies detained Brian Ballein, 32, for parole violation and criminal damaging.
Ballein was released on parole on charges of burglary and illegally conveying things into a jail back in April. The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction issued an alert that Ballein was in violation of parole and should be considered armed and dangerous.
