PPD arrested a man with a long history of criminal activity after a report of someone trying to break into cars at Pizza Hut.
An employee told officers a man was trying to get into vehicles at the restaurant, including one with a child inside. The man left when employees told him to, but officers caught up with him at the Malt Shop.
Police took Roy Cook into custody for parole violation. Cook is currently on parole for a sentence for drug possession and failure to appear. The state released him from prison back on July 7th.
This was his 42nd trip to the Scioto County Jail. Previous charges include drug possession, probation violation, failure to appear, disorderly conduct, contempt, criminal trespass, breaking and entering, and petty theft.
