Passed Out at Speedway and Wanted Woman Nabbed
A worried caller contacted Portsmouth Police just after midnight to report a possible drunk driver at the gas pumps at Speedway.
When police arrived at the scene, the suspect was not in his vehicle. He told officers he takes suboxone, but they noted that he did not appear to be too intoxicated to care for himself. A sober friend came to get him and took him and his truck home.
Two hours later, a caller reported another suspicious vehicle, this time on Center Street. The witness said a car with out-of-state plates was sitting with lights on and windows down. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a woman with an open warrant from the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office. Police took her into custody.
Just after 9 am, a caller reported a man passed out in a pickup truck at Speedway. Police discovered the man had an open warrant, and they took him into custody.
