Passed Out Behind Patsy’s Inn
Witnesses at one of Portsmouth’s iconic breakfast spots came to the aid of a man in distress just before 7 am.
Callers reported that a man was passed out behind the building. Officers headed to the scene and called for members of the drug crisis team to assist. The man agreed to go into treatment.
Just after 10 am, PPD responded to a report of a suspicious person on Front Street. An officer spoke to the woman and gave her a ride to Day One Treatment Center at her request.
Police responded to another mental health issue at 11 am when they were asked to check on a man recently released from a Columbus mental health facility. The caller said the man was using drugs and talking about suicide.
Police spoke with the troubled man, and he agreed to allow an ambulance to transport him to SOMC for treatment.
