Patricia “Pat” Ratliff Porter, 81, of South Portsmouth, KY., went to be with her Lord Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at her residence. She was born on June 13, 1944, in Fullerton, KY., a daughter of the late James Truman and Belva Sturgill Ratliff.
Pat was a member of White Oak Chapel Church and Daughters of America. She retired from Best Care Nursing Home, where she was a Dietary Assistant.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William “Wig” Porter; one son, William Dale Porter; one daughter, Nancy Lynn Porter; four sisters, Norma Roberts, Mabra Stowe, Diane Jacobs, and Terry Lineberry; three brothers, Charles Ratliff, Dwight Ratliff, and Jerry Ratliff.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Fernande (Donald) Ratcliff of Wheelersburg, OH., and Sandy (Robert) Chandler of South Portsmouth, KY; one son, Ernest Porter of South Portsmouth, KY; two sisters, Lois Markland and Avera Rowland; fifteen grandchildren, Erik, Julie, Shawn, Amber, Josh, Ryan, Cory, Jackie, Dale, Hollie, Amber, Tia, Tristia, Natasha and Kyle; twenty nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Roger Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the funeral.
