Phyllis Jean (Lane) Litz, 84 of Chillicothe formerly of West Portsmouth, died Saturday December 31, 2022 in Chillicothe. She was born November 4, 1938 in South Webster, OH to the late Clifford and Winnie (Massie) Lane.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold L. “Cobb” Litz, whom she married on August 10, 1959, a daughter, Brenda Sue Finley, 4 brothers: Kennard Lane, Estel Lane, Maywood Lane and Clifford Lane Jr., and 2 sisters: Thelma Fay McGinnis and Freda Lane.
She was previously employed by the Williams Shoe Factory and the Washington-Nile School District.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Dave) Blackburn of Chillicothe, 4 grandchildren: Traci (Eric) Shneider of North Carolina, Bryan (Heather) Blackburn of Tennessee, Carissa (Ed) Vanover of Lancaster, Ohio and Melissa (Dan) Logue of North Carolina, 6 great grandchildren: Jacob Shnider, Sydney Vanover, Forrest Blackburn, Wyatt Blackburn, Gradi Blackburn and Roman Logue, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Ronald Litz officiating. Interment will be in South Webster Cemetery.
