Phyllis Mae Blake went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 7, 2023. She was born at home on March 12, 1938 in Sciotoville.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Ray Blake, her parents Sanford Clydewell and Ida Catherine (Fitch) Cooper, and siblings Sanford, Roger, Pat, and Irene.
Leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, she is survived by her three devoted children: Lisa Blake Jarvis and husband, Scott, of Wheelersburg, Kenneth Blake and wife, Samantha, of Wheelersburg, and Michael Blake and wife, Tina, of Franklin Furnace. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Blake, and husband, David, of Clarksville, TN, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who also mourn her passing.
She was a beacon of love and light for her family, friends, and neighbors. A compassionate wife and mother, Phyllis dedicated her life to creating a nurturing and loving home for her family.
Phyllis found solace and joy in capturing moments with her cherished grandchildren through photography, painting, writing poetry, bird watching, crafting, and steadfastly serving the Lord. Her unwavering faith was evident throughout her everyday life. She attended Jeanette’s Creek Christian Baptist Church.
Phyllis’ warm smile, gentle spirit, and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May they find comfort in knowing she is rejoicing in Heaven with her Savior for eternity.
A service of remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rev. Rick Arthur officiating. The interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
