Just before 2 pm, Wayne Hills residents reported a black and white pit bull running loose and barking at people.
Neighbors told officers the dog was extremely aggressive toward people and other animals. Police took information for a report, and dispatch said they would leave an email for animal control.
The next day, 17th Street neighbors told officers the door of an apartment had stood open for several hours, and the resident’s dog was running loose and attacking other dogs. An officer put the dog back inside the house and shut the door. However, they were unable to locate someone with a key to lock up.
