Police Investigate Sexual Assault Report
Portsmouth Officers were contacted by medical personnel from Adena Health to report a sexual assault just before 9 pm.
A caller also contacted the department just a few minutes later, asking to speak with an officer in relation to a sexual assault. Police took information for a report.
Police Investigate After Man Found Wandering in West Portsmouth
Just after 6 am, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office contacted PPD to report they’d found a confused man wandering in West Portsmouth. They said the man would be transported to the hospital, and his vehicle would be parked at a nearby store.
Deputies were concerned that the man might be missing or that something suspicious had happened to him.
They asked PPD to contact family members at a Portsmouth Address. However, when officers responded to the residence, they noticed chipping around the deadbolt of the door and that the door was unlocked.
An officer entered the premises to investigate but did not find anyone. They left a note behind.
