A Walmart shopper caught with a buggy full of stuff she didn’t pay for told deputies she ‘forgot’ to scan more than two dozen items.
Deputies responded to the South Point Walmart for a theft report around 8:30 pm. Loss prevention had two women detained and were still in the process of tallying up all the items they took.
One of the women told the deputy it had been a long day, and she must have forgotten to scan some items.
Officers watched the security video and saw that the woman picked items up in both hands and only scanned the item in one hand as she filled up two buggies with stolen goods.
Employees discovered she skipped scanning 25 items. Officers arrested both women for theft and took them to the Lawrence County Jail. They did note in the report that both women were polite and respectful during the arrest.
