The Scioto County Grand Jury handed down indictments against 25-year-old Caleb Darby of Portsmouth on some serious charges.
Darby is charged with 4 counts of rape, felonious assault, strangulation, and abduction. Officers arrested him back on October 4th and set his bond at $150,000.

According to the indictment, the attack happened on September 21 and 22, and Darby used force to compel his victim to submit to sexual conduct. The indictment alleged he also caused serious physical harm to his victim, strangled her, and abducted her.
Darby is due in court on November 15 for an arraignment.
