Man Threatens Dogs with Guns
At 11 am, a 7th Street caller reported a man threatening to shoot loose dogs. Animal Control responded.
The owners weren’t home, but Animal control managed to secure the fence to the yard where the dogs lived and returned the animals.
Dogs Targeted?
A Linden Avenue caller contacted police at 8:15 pm to complain that homeless people staying behind her house had attempted to steal her dogs.
Officers discovered the woman had an open warrant and took her into custody.
It’s a Bar Not A Crisis Center
At 2:19 am, an employee of the Party Time Bar on 4th Street reported a suspicious person. A woman was at the bar with papers for admittance to the 2nd Street Crisis Center.
She had just been released from KDMC. An officer dropped the woman off at the crisis center where they were expecting her.
Suspicious Activity
The Speedway on Gallia reported a suspicious redhead in the bathroom at 3:23 am. However, she left before the police arrived.
Just before 4 am, witnesses reported a man with a buggy headed down Grant Street. An officer caught up with the man at Grant and Hutchins and found him picking up trash.
At 9 am, a Thomas Avenue caller reported someone threw a brick through the back window of her apartment. An officer took information for a report.
The Taco Bell on Gallia contacted officers just before 11 am to report that a man known for his aggressive panhandling was in the bathroom.
Just before 7 pm, Aldi Foods on Gallia reported a panhandler in the parking lot asking customers for money.
Hey, That’s My Stuff
A Mildale Road caller contacted police at 9:17 to report a burglary. She said someone broke into her home while she was asleep and stole hydrocodone and Ativan from her purse.
There was no sign of forced entry or damage at the home. Police took information for a report.
