Four Portsmouth radio stations have a new owner. According to a report from Radio Insight, Hometown Broadcasting of Portsmouth has agreed to sell 1260 WNXT/95.7 W239CQ, Hot AC “Mix 99.3” WNXT-FM, and Classic Rock, and “107.5 The Breeze” WZZZ to Total Media Group for $1.25 million.

Total Media is based in Jackson County and already owns 13 other radio stations in the area, including ones in Jackson, Waverly, Athens, and Point Pleasant.
The company also owns the Telegram News newspaper. No personnel or format changes have been announced as a result of the sale.
